While spreading the gospel on the sandy shores of Surf City, Parker and Jessi Green were soaked in water after submerging hundreds of people in the Atlantic Ocean for baptisms. As the directors for Saturate Global, a grassroots revival and evangelism movement, they’re on a mission to have thousands of more purified in the Holy Spirit. God brought them to Hampstead, which is now the headquarters for the organization. “Across the country, we see thousands of people get saved and we’ve seen miraculous healing,” Jessi said. “We’ve seen a lot of people set free from depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and marriages restored.” The couple, who previously lived in New York City, led revival events around the country for a couple of years. During that time, they baptized 10,000 people of different ages, races and denominations. “We’re hoping to baptize 10,000 people in the area,” she said. “Even people from around the world are going to be coming into Pender County to encounter God.” But those plans came with a few hurdles from their potential neighbors and concerns about having a lot of people gathering, coming and leaving the property in eastern Pender County.
